Interesting. The only thing holding me back from relocating my alt was losing ps, or paying 400 clams for the bracket speed sold/sales

If going to the trouble, why not convert to an electric column and completely get rid of p/s pump and fluid.

I'll toss in my setup, I have less than $400 into it this time around and it could be done a lot cheaper if you don't get AN lines or just avoid the Summit line kit, that was a waste of money. I really like the small package of the setup. I had an aluminum Type II pump last year with a remote reservoir and all it did was leak everywhere, this setup should be a lot nicer and if you get a pump from a newer S10 they are aluminum IIRC

S10 power steering pump and reservoir----------$40 shipped from eBay
Speedway Motors SBC power steering bracket---$20 on sale IIRC they are ~$35 now
AN power steering kit from Summit--------------$120 but it is not needed
    Rack AN adapters------------------------------$30
3/8 NPT to -6 AN adapter for reservoir----------$8
BBK underdrive pulley to spin the alternator------$65
    Madman alternator bracket (used)---------------$40

I had to trim the SBC power steering bracket to clear the water pump, but the bracket is over 1/2" thick and it is plenty strong. Then I had to drill the holes out on the S10 pump since they are threaded from the factory and the bracket requires the bolts to thread into it. I also had to space the bracket out about 5/16" to line up with the factory balancer after I installed underdrive pulley. Then it's just a matter of drilling out the reservoir and tapping it for the AN fitting, then installing some AN lines and you have a driver side low mount alternator.
