I'll be honest, I have no idea what that 4 degrees ground in is. It could be benefitial, but it may not. But I know Llyods been doing it for years and has a pretty good name built for himself.
Not to take your thread ascew, but did you by any chance look into my valve covers? The extra ones I have are custom sheet metal ones specifically for the AFR 227's. The only thing I'm a little nervous about is how they seal compared to my LT4's.1995 Z28 - disfunctional now, perhaps insane after its "treatment"

This......is my BOOMSTICK!

Huge thanks to Call911. He showed up today, and first thing he says to me is "You know how I was looking at my finances, and if they were good I'd get you the cam? Well.....I took a look and I can't do that." My heart dropped, but then he walks out to his car, and says "But I do have this instead!" Apparently he spent the last week working directly with Lloyd and Lunati (who grinds Lloyds cams now) to get the cam ground and out to me. Christmas in June!!!!!
And........Larry and I worked out a deal on his old Dynaspark that he bought back, which was delivered yesterday. So........I had acquired two opti's, one donated, one traded a solenoid-less line lock kit for. And I thank both of you guys for working with me on that, GreenZ96 and 96LT1M6. So in the spirit, I will be paying BOTH of these opti's forward to any individual here on the forum in need. Just let me know. As these great guys did, I will do the same, and ship for free, no cost for either opti, etc.

The cam is a small token of my appreciation buddy. I am glad to have a small part in your build, and was more than happy to give you the cam you wanted for all the hard work on my car. From talking with Lloyd and the guys at Lunati, this cam should be perfect for your setup.

Back on it. Found one of my oil leaks:

That's my oil return in the back of the manifold. Try not to laugh at the "professional" powdercoating job that was done.....I was not happy.
And.......almost there:

Punked by lack of a swivel to get to some of the oil pan bolts, otherwise I"d have the cam out. Interesting note: Lunati/Morel Tie-Bar lifters won't come out with heads on the car.
