    Default HELP!! Reverse Lockout Kaput

OK, I now know that the VSS tells the reverse lockout to work, problem is Im running a GPS speedo now and the VSS to the ECM has been cut. How can I get the reverse lockout to work again?

Simple just wire a switch to it. Thats how i did it in my caprice. One wire is power and one is ground.

    I'm actually brainstorming a microswitch
Like a wot type n2o switch that the shifter will push when I put the lever in the reverse gate area.

Honestly I would just stick to a on/off switch this way you can buzz reverse when you go into 5th

How's the GPS speedo working? As for the reverse lockout.....if you haven't removed the VSS itself and the pcm is still seeing a signal, it should still work. Where did you cut and tap into the vss wire for the GPS speedo signal? I'm going to guess between the VSS and the ECM. If you move that cut in over to the C230 connector, your reverse lockout should still function as normal.

The GPS speedo is great, cept it don't register for a few miles (~1-3) before the GPS grabs it, so I am a few Miles short on the ODO.. LOL yeah, I cut it there, I guess I should move it. I can do that when I tear down the front of the motor in a few weeks to replace the opti that is filling with oil from a leaky seal, due the wrong water pump drive bearing that is letting a lot of oil past it into the timing cover.. FML..
