I should really become a cop... I think I'd enjoy it for the most part. How long is the training/boot camp phase you have to go through? And that's unpaid, right?

When I went to the Academy, it was 1999, or 2000...I don't remember. It cost me 3g and took 16 weeks. I believe the last I heard it was up to 7g, and 28 weeks..... but that may have changed again.

I also have a Criminal Justice/Psychology and English degree (not sure if it helps, but MANY depts want a degree in SOMETHING...ANYTHING...lol)

I opted to put myself through the academy, because then I could apply with ANY dept that was hiring... I applied with 27 departments and had 16 job offers...... (those are actually really good odds).

If I had not put myself through, I would have been limited to a LARGE PD, that would hire first then send you through training at a prorated salary (since you would technically be an employee), but then again...thats what everyone hopes for, so the odds are different, and def not stacked in your favor....

FOR example, around here, I would have only been able to test with the City of Reading, the City of York, the City of Phila, and the City of Allentown.....

I think its the greatest job around...but when the shitty times hit....THEY HIT!

The all need a acc ignition on connecting. its says not to use more then one gauge on the power supply (guess its to keep a good power supply).

I was going to tap into the hvac power supply on fuse block. since i deleted it.

Couldn't you put in a separate fuse block for them.

    Something like this: http://www.jegs.com/i/Painless+Perfo...70107/10002/-1

Just watch your voltage drop on the wire. You dont want anymore than .3v dropped from bat voltage

    ya Im thanking the same.

    the instructions are confusing.

I plan to run red all the times. it says to use a pin and pop out the orange wire. and swap it with brown wire. (brown wire is 0-5 volt data log output)

do i put the orange wire to 12 volt power supply after i swap them?

    that makes no freakin sense!
