Gun Bill shot down

And our lovely CIC told me that contacting my representative is "intimidating" them.

Da faq is wrong with the current govt.

Ah well, happy all the gun bills were shot down.

Good. I've owned guns for 25 years and still haven't done anything illegal with them, no less shot anyone.

But the parents of new town will feel so much safer if its harder for law abiding citizens have more laws to keep people from breaking the laws that are currently in place.

Without starting the "big debate" I will say this. I truly feel for ANYONE who has suffered from CRIMINAL acts that have had firearms involved. We all know the adage "guns don't kill people, scumbags kill people using guns." The only thing that I don't understand, is why people don't realize that 1) Criminals don't obey "laws." 2) enacting some of these laws will effectively prevent law abiding citizens from protecting themselves, as in criminals will be the only ones who have weapons. I'll be leaving my comments right at that. Sigh.

Guy I work with fights with us about guns all day saying they're senseless. Then turns around and says he's buying a 12ga to go hunting someday. WTF!?

I've never owned or fired a gun unless you include BB guns, but I'm happy to see the bill was shot down. Just another classic example of how government passes bills in an attempt to fix things (Obamacare) without ACTUALLY fixing the root cause.

Lol ain't that the truth, laws are for law abiding citizens not criminals. Fairly simple logic if you don't think about it to hard. All government wants is control plain and simple.

That idiot pos potus lies so much it's not even funny..(yes they all do, but he's taking things to extremes) even if he was telling the truth(which he's not) we couldn't trust him on anything anyway.. If we give an inch, they'll want a mile...

He campaigned as going to be the "most transparent"... The only thing that's Plain to see is that he has his head up his ass IMHO
