Thread: 350th swap!

My car dyno'd 450 to the wheels n/a. So it's not really mild. I will one day finish my single plane setup and solid roller cam. Then a shot of nitrous. After I get some quarter mile times that make me happy an m6 will be installed in the car and it will retire to the pasture to graze lol.

Should I still keep the 60e?

im not sure on the first gear ratio. But I was thinking transbrake plus 4k stall should get me out of the hole quicker than a foot brake and 3600 stall with the 60e. But I could be wrong.

Well if your at 450 NA at the wheels and want to hit It with a 150 or 200 in my opinion a th350 would be your best best, with 600+ rwhp that 3.06 first gear would be a wash, get a 3.89 to 4.11 gear, tight nitrous converter, swap that th350 in and hold on lol... with that much power I hope you have some good adjustable suspension, start off small with some 50 jets and work your way up. If you were going to stay NA I would say the 60e
would be the way to go but if you plan on spraying the th350 would be the ay to go, that 2.48 first gear with a tight nitrous converter should rip at the track. If you want to hit it with a decent shot make sure you have whoever build your converter, tell them you'll be spraying it and want it tight.

I have adjustable coil overs on the front, SFCs, rear LCAs, and an adjustable TA. Front also has a tubular knember and LCAs plus manual rack steering.

Ive slowly pieced it together over the years. I've got some good parts so far. But I mean, if there will be no performance gain, I'm not so sure I want to do the 350th. My 60e has been great so far!!!

I agree with dawdaw, if you're not going to change rear gears or add more power you will probably slow down in the 1/4 going to the 350 just becasue of the first gear ratio difference between the two.
