Shaker and cowl?
Wondering if anyone has ever done this:
Always liked shaker hoods, and a while ago a vendor over on the other of the techs released a shaker hood kit for 4th gens.
Always liked cowl hoods, and they've always been around.
Wondering if anyone has combined these? A cowl that is attached to the engine to act as a heat extractor from the engine bay, that would be cut through the hood of the car.
Stock hood, cut to accommodate a cowl (hardwood style?) the kind that are designed to be glassed or welded onto a standard hood, that is mounted via bracket to the top of an lt1.
Or am i out to lunch. Thoughts?

Sorry, I understand how this is confusing. Uhm my drawing skills are terrible as well.
Think of a standard shaker hood that you would see on an old bird.

The portion that is attached to the air box that sticks through the hood (scoop) , is replaced this with a much larger cowl.

And cut the hood to accommodate the larger cowl. The only thing that would be different in this case, aside from size, is that this wouldn't be attached to an airbox to feed the engine (car is already procharged) rather, just attached to a bracket to the top of the engine.
I know 6LE makes a bracket to mount an airbox to rest on the top of the intake manifold, that you then mount a scoop to, and can do a real shaker hood induction system on a 4th gen.
My thoughts are to extend that brackets size to be able to support the cowl scoop, or at least use the same mounting points he is using and fab up something to hold the cowl up.
