Default OBD2 USB Laptop cable with OBD1 Software?

I'm one of the unfortunate ones with the 1995 OBD1 ECU with the OBD2 plug in. I'm looking to use my laptop as a scanner for my LT1. Could I buy a OBD2 scan USB chord and download an OBD1 scanner software, would that work?

Yup. I have a 95 Z28. I use Tuner Cats, Tuner Pro RT and Datamaster. 1st and 2nd are programmers and the 2nd and 3rd are dataloggers. All use OBD1 programs and are usable with either the OBD1 (94) or OBD2 (95) plugs and USB Cable.

Alrighty. I have TunerPro downloaded. Is there a link to any sites that'll help me learn how to use it?

There is sticky thread at the top of the Tuner forum that tells you a lot. and you can always ask if you dont know something. I dont have all the answers but I can help as best as I can.
