Default Gen 1 crank in lt1?

Just wondering if anyone on here has any first hand experience with the adapters? Are they nice? Any problems with them leaking?

I have no personal experience, but everything I've read on the forums seems to indicate that they have trouble sealing to the block and it seems like there is almost constant oil leaks with them. There are a few who reported good results, but that was with meticulous installation and some kind of alignment tool

Are you talking about a 2 piece rear main seal adapter?

Has to be. Unless he's unaware that any 1 pc rear main 350 crank will work in a Gen 2 block.

Any pre-87 SBC crank will work with the mentioned 2-piece RMS adapter. They don't leak when installed properly.

I was referring to a 2 piece crank in a lt1 yes. I have a lot of good parts for a pre 87 block and and trying to determine to sell them or try and use them

I would suggest getting a GM Performance Parts catelog (http://www.gmperformancemotor.com/) and getting the GMPP 2-piece main seal adaptor.

It's just me.....but on a GM engine, I'd be inclined to trust a GM part first.

And as mentioned; with proper installation you'll have no issues with leaks.
