I got some good news on the job hunt thing today, the 2 friends I went to the bone yard to get parts with for their EFI conversion stuff today both work for our local utility company PG&E.
One of them is a painter and he said that their big boss told them "hey if you guys know anybody who needs a job tell them to sign up at the union hiring hall and give me their name" so since we were close to the hall I signed up and Joe is going to talk to him tomorrow. The job starts at 35 an hour but the hall kicks in another 5 per hour for a total of 40 an hour! There are no bennies unless you get hired on permanently but all I have to do is take a basic math test within a year to do that.
I get this job and my little Z is gonna get some love

I love it when cars come into the shop with some little fault and the other tech try to show off and they still cant fix it. Then i look at it and it takes me 20 minds to fix it.

Lol many times im finding to over repair to keep the customer happy. Spend 3 days to diag line pressure remove and tear down a trans or toss a box in it. Ill take a morning of my time than 3 days. Originally Posted by chile
