    Its hard to see in the pic but the rod is twisted. Not sure why they didn't catch it during the reconditioning or assembly. Calling this morning to see what's going to happen. Most likely going to buy a new set of rods...

    Well my dad was able to take the engine back to the machine shop today and they were able to confirm the rod was twisted. He is going to check all of them and as long as the rest are good I'll only be buying one rod. He will reassemble on his dime. Should have it back Monday or Tuesday.

    Too bad, I was looking forward to seeing that thing at our dyno day. I guess I'll have to wait until the Shootout.

    Yea there has just been too many setbacks to make it. We might bring dads camaro again to see if we can lean it out a little.

    I've had mixed feelings about it. Mistakes happen and yes, they are standing behind their work. On the other hand it should have never left the shop like that in the first place. I've been going to this guy for about 12 years. His prices have always been a little high in my opinion but I've never had any complaints with the quality of work. Due to a lot of business recently, the guy that owns the shop has had to hire 2 guys to help out where it used to be just him and his son before. I hope these goons dont ruin it for his reputation. Its a common story unfortunately.
