I wouldn't strip the GTA, I would do a nice solid LT1/6spd, LOTS of suspension goodies, killer brakes, and have it for a Auto X/track event car.

When i say strip... I mean back seats... Ac... Carpet padding...spare tire and jack..maybe even bumper supports... Cosmetically it will look complete but in a crash it should be a death trap.
