    and how is it that Franks is 150 bucks cheaper on shipping alone. But that is a good deal on tranny rebuild! Hope you get your money back on that whole ordeal Madman......sounds like they are taking people to the cleaners. It would be almost worth it to open it up to see if they put in what they said they would.

    monster is kind of the reason I am glad I built my own trans...... and wasnt gonna pay those outragious prices that some people charge and hearing of nightmares about them years later now.
    97 Comp T/A #161 out of 164 LT1 383 stroker, TPIS/AFR heads, JE pistons, 9.3cr, extreme energy comp cams 224/230, Howards billet rods 5.85, Callies dragon slayer crank, 2 bolt mains converted to 4 bolt billet, Mildon oil pump, MSD opti, 6AL, boost retard, HVC 2 blaster coil, BBk 58mm, 50lb injectors, 3200 stall. Took 600b off to help fund twin turbo.

    Yeah that is a great price allright and I did research monster to see what others said and at the time it was mostly good. I could build a trans myself but lack the tools to do so and I am still trying to wrap my head around why it failed so easy even if all they used was stock stuff it still should have held up better than it did and yeah I hear ya about it almost being worth it to open it up.
