    Default kickout oil pan to k-member clearances

    im about to build my deep kickout oil pan for my lt1, whats the kickout pans or deep 7qt pans everyone is using? let me know part#s or pics. i want this to clear my stock k-member.
    aint nuthin but a 1995 slowmaro.... that thumps a lil bit

    Im running a canton oil pan part#15-242T.

    its 7.5 deep/12 wide/8.25 long
    94 Trans am. Built 383/T56(437/409) Wilwoods, tubular suspension, QA1/BMR, Watts Link. Stripped down and set to kill!

    did you have plenty side to side and forward clearance?

    I had plenty of Clarence even with a stock K-member and hooker LT. And fit stock starter.

    Im installing a tubular K-member when its warmer. And don't have any worries with it.

    Good info.

    How tall is that Canton pan, in the front? From where it bolts on the block, down to the bottom of the pan? Like 4 1/2" ?

    With my Canton pan I used a Melling 10552 with Canton's 20-023 pickup. Worked great.

    i just built/building a kickout bottom 10 inches wide, 8 1.4 deep. adding onto a stock pan

    Sounds like a good setup Joe. Did everybody have to drop the K-member to get the pan off?

    Ya you will need to drop the k member. There isn't much room. I had my motor out of Tue car when i did mine though.
