I have a 4L60E wiring harness. What 2 solenoids do you need? And...Um...If you don't mind me asking, why do you need those particular parts? I hope you're not trying to make an earlier 4L60E work in a '96. That won't work.

^^ what exactly needs to be done? The guy who did my trans said it was the solenoids and I think different valve body?

In 1996 GM changed the 3-2 downshift valve in the valvebody. This required a new casting valvebody and a different seperator plate. You can't mismatch a '95 and '96-'97 transmission with a '94 or '95 computer. In addition to the 3-2 valve being changed, the 3-2 solenoid uses a different resistance. A '94 can ONLY use a '93 (truck) and '94 4L60E. A '95 can ONLY use a '95 4L60E. A '96 and '97 are intechangeable.

Many half assed trans builders will tell you that it's OK to swap the solenoids between '95 and '96/'97 units, to appease the resistance the computer wants to see. This won't work!. It will result in a 3-2 runaway downshift. In other words, the trans will make a 3-neutral-2 downshift under heavy throttle.

You'll need to swap the complete pump assenbly, too. The '94 is a non PWM pump. None of these parts will work together. You would need a '96/'97 pump, wiring, valvebody, and seperator plate to convert a '94. It would be easier and probably less expensive to just have a '96/'97 4L60E built.

^^ great info CAHALL that's why you're a sponsor!! If I would have known about you before I bought my trans and lived in the Midwest I would have definitely hit you up. If something happens to this one, I'm gonna be looking to you.
