need opinions!

need some advice from all you other Military people.

so i am now stationed in good ole Oklahoma (and have been for just over a year)and its looking like the unit i am at is a black hole base (average people in my shop have been here 5+ years). i will say that i really don't mind the place, area is decent, shop is cool.
so now what i need opinions on, right know i am renting a house, its decent but its old. i have been looking for a new place but there is a small market for rentals that actually have a garage and what i am looking for. so what i am thinking now is possibly buying a house, i have done a lot of looking at the market and i can find a place that is close to what i want for around 80-100k. so i guess my question is, is it worth buying a house? or should i just stay renting?

I'd say rent man...cause you never know regardless of what people say my buddy said my unit was a black hole marines there for 5 years not deployed no schooling for jobs. Me I got there Tad once a few random week or so excursions away doing training.

we have been in limbo since October, and not that the new DoD budget was signed my unit is listed as one to close down. but its not something that will happen over night, id say ill still be here in OKC till 2014 some time. and after that who knows where ill go...i got a couple places im trying for but it really depends on where uncle sam sends you.
