    Default LT1 Z28 engine stalling

This morning it was a lovely 15 degrees here in Maryland . Before I left for my daily commute to school , I started it up and let it warm up before I left.

About 10 minutes later during my trip at a traffic circle, the rpms dropped from a normal 1000-1200 to about 500 . The car stalled in line at the traffic circle after about 30 seconds of on and off cranking I finally got it started again just to die a little after the circle. I had to keep giving it gas or it would die. I made it to the parking lot at school and it just quit.

Any ideas ? Is it just the cold maybe ?

Luckily I have access to a trailer and if I can't get it running I can just grab the trailer.

So ill see when it's time to leave school if it's running or if ill be pushing .

Could be the iac. Maybe it got stuck in one spot. Would also explain why you had to keep giving it gas to make it run.

When my second opti went out, the car acted similiar to what you describe. It was in cold weather and it would spit and sputter bad (once when the engine was warm) then it qiut all together. Just a guess though.

I had no issues going home yesterday. It ran like normal. Since my ride isn't but 10-15 minutes , I don't think it ever truly warms up enough. By the time I get there it will be about 165-170 never quite 180 on the cold mornings. I let it warm up for about 10 minutes before I left.

The cars seems to run rich in open loop, and I'm not quite sure it ever warmed up enough yesterday.

I was thinking about the opti , it is the original opti in the car.

Ill do some tests and see if I find anything.
