Oh OK. Its hard for me to say. The cage looks like it sticks out about 2" from where the drivers side seatback would be. This could be a problem.

I know... Im hoping that its design is low enough that an arm can rest on it like an arm rest... and the thickness of a regular seat, would be equiv to the cage against the rear deck, dont ya think?

I guess in the end, I gotta get out to it and sit in it on the floor and see whats available.

I found a few websites dedicated to v8 LT1 swaps, so I need to learn what transmission I can use... and what else would need to be strengthened. I think with this car as a start, and the v8 swap actually being a common thing, this may be able to be built, reasonably cheap... what do you think?

Oh yea its definitely worth the money. And the difference in thickness between the stock seat all the way back and the race seat up against the cage may be the same, I didn't consider that. V8 archie is a site all about fiero v8 swaps. They even sell some pretty slick rebodies. I always wanted to to a lambo or Ferrari clone with one. I really think for what you are after, and what is there, you've hit a home run.

A fiero wouldn't need anyone in it to stay planted to the ground. If ever there was a car that could be called a go kart on steriods, the fiero is it.

I have an 81 corolla that used to be my work car you can have that's sitting in my dads shed that you can have.
I don't have a pick of it right now but here's the body style and what it could look like. BADFUNKINGASS

Oh wow... maybe I went about this project the wrong way... Instead of saying we would build something out of my pocket for the site... maybe we should make it to ask.... what memebers would like to donate, whether effort... or parts, or whatever to make the SITE car.....
