Not that anyone should take shipping tips from me but, go to your local post office and get the largest flat rate box they have. I shipped a converter for $15

I have checked at my local post office and they don't have a flat rate box big enough for me to get the converter in, I they did then I definitely would.

I think it was only $5 more to ship it parcel post instead of the priority mail flat rate.

Well I'm all the way in South Carolina so its having to go across the whole country, its not that big of a deal just something I will have to decide on later.

Just curious why you wouldn't call Yank about a restall instead of some trans shop. Hope you get it worked out. I read a very nice write up on torque converters and it turns out a lot of smaller rated stalls are using stock GM cases.

i've had three yank converters. one ss4400/4000 on a 4l60e/ls, one ss3600 on a 4l60/lt1 [currently for sale], and one entry level small 700r4 converter [don't remember what size]. everyone of the converters has been awesome and never gave me a problem.
