Precision u joint don't fit correctly
I bought two Precision u joints to replace my worn stock ones. When I went to install them I noticed that only one clip fit. I did struggle with getting the original ones out so I thought perhaps I bent it to ****. I dropped by a salvage yard and picked up a DS from LT1 Auto, and low and behold, SAME THING! My question is do I try to get a different brand or run it without the clips. I'd attach pics if it wasn't 2:00AM.

I had the same issue. I was told that all replacements are this way. The OEM ones were actually glued in. I was able to use aircraft safety wire in the grooves where the clips go. If you find ones that fit let me know cause I rather it be right.

I have Precision U joints in my stock steel DS, they went in fine. Make sure all the roll pins are in place, on my truck I couldn't get a cap in all the way and I had one pin that was at a slight angle not allowing the cap to go on. It's really easy to do.

^^^ agreed i have done alot of u joints and every time it didnt go it all the way/ the clip will not clip in right. it was due to a needle not being in right and falling. if i was you i would just take the caps off the u joints and make sure the needles didnt fall.

I have this weekend off to do a bit of maintenance on my car. Really need to change my destroyed transmission mount. I'll try the safety wire as well.
