    Default exhaust size

how do I figure out the right exhaust size? I would think that a little on the small side is better than a little too big. I have stock heads with a 60121 voodoo cam, cold air, ported MAF, 3/4 long tubes, no cats, single 3" with a Dynomax ultra flo. Is that big enough? When does everyone go to a dual exhaust set up?

I know there are some charts on the web that tell you certain size motor equals certain size exhaust. But you really need a balance between reducing back pressure and helping the scavenging. But your setup sounds good on stock.

I think your 3" single is fine. Until you build it and do some head work I think you'll be OK.

Your 3" will be find well past any N/A LTx based motor you throw at it.

agreed. If your on a stock displacement motor, no matter what set up, even with a power adder, I feel like 3" is enough.
