Default After ALOT of searching I found a CHEAP Intake Elbow for LT1's!

My stock elbow is torn up, and I dont have the money for a 1LE or Trickflow, so this will do just fine.

I can not take credit for it though, R3DLT1 is the one who found it.

    His thread:

Black Silicone Reducer 90 degree bend - 4.0" to 3.5" (It is only $19.99)

ITs not a bad idea... eliminates the need for silicone pieces to attach it...

Id be concerned that it would collapse with heat tho...

    Hope it works....

Now you got me nervous. LOL

It says: "Heat tolerance: -40° to 392° Fahrenheit"

    I hope it holds up!

I dont think its gonna melt on you or anything.... so dont worry.

I think its a neat idea, and I dont know how much strength it has to keep its shape....

Give it a try... worst case scenario.... it doesnt work..... Best case scenario it does work and only cost you 20 bucks.

I use that stuff all over. I wouldn't worry about heat, I made metal radiator "hoses" and used those as couplers. Works great. They're pretty thick, I don't think they'd collapse. Good idea.

I'm ordering one too. Mines, although still holding up, looks ragged. Even if its just a temp fix and last till you're able to get a
good one is worth the 20 bucs. Thanks for posting this up.

I made the CAI on my truck with a piece just like that, it has worked great for almost 2 years of DD all year long. If your TB or intake air gets over 300 degrees you got issues! They have great prices and quality products, I made my 4" CAI for my car from all their parts. They have good prices on mandrel bent polished aluminum tubing too.
