    Default Blower questions

Long story short just doing a little research here... do any of you procharger guys use nitrous as a chemical intercooler? for the SC v6 crowd it is a pretty popular way to drop the IATs and reduce the knock. Not saying I am going boosted for sure but I am debating it... I cant lose to a mustang lol

Methanol injection is what I use. Cheaper than filling a nitrous bottle too.

I'm using Meth also but a lot of FI guys will use a small shot of Nitrous as a charge cooler/power booster. Difference is that with the Nitrous you need extra fuel. Yes you gain more power, but there's more at stake too and more to potentially go wrong. With Meth it IS an extra fuel, a very high octane one too, allowing for a IAT reduction as well as octane boost, so you get more power by being able to add timing when the Meth is on.

I have not considered it. Yeah its higher octane but your gas mileage will suffer pretty bad and mine is bad enough....haha.

I would run it, but there are very few stations on the east coast that carry it, so it would be a headache.

Im going to e85 on my build. it has its advantages. but you require 20% more fuel per burn. and gas stations are hit and miss. so you will need to plan road trips out.
