rocker arm and stud question
So I'm trying to figure what length pushrods I need. I noticed something today while checking the rocker geometry. I saw that the bottom of the rocker arm is rest all the way on the bottom of the stud. If I get arp studs will that cure it.
Some specs that might come in handy.
Beehive spring 26918
guideplates
1.6 full roller rockers
The heads are milled for 51 cc
currently stock rocker arm studs
Thanks for the help

Your post is slightly confusing.
If you're looking for proper pushrod length are you using a pushrod length checking tool and using a checking spring and/or a solid lifter?-Joe-

From what it sounds like, the push rod is too short. ARP studs are the same height. Only thing you really change is the stud diameter. 3/8" to 7/16"

I know it sounds confusing but hopefully a pic will clear things up.

As you can see the rocker arm is resting on stud. If I lengthen just a bit to get it off the stud it pushes the tip too far away from the center of the valve.

What brand/part number are the rockers? Maybe they are not for SBC? Can you take a picture from the end of the head looking straight at the rocker?

PN would rule out incompatible rocker. I'm leaning towards too short of a push rod

I'm thinking if the valve height hasn't changed (stock valves), and the heads were milled that much, wouldn't that make the pushrods (stock length) too long? The guide plates are eating up 1/8" but I've never heard of anyone having to mill the stud boss for clearance.

problem fixed. I used arp studs which have a smaller nut on the stud
