Default Ford 9" Questions for DIY

For those with a Ford 9" I have a couple of questions for you.

    1) What is the absolute minimum width (Wheel Flange to Wheel Flange) with you can use and maintain all of the factory mounting locations for shocks, LCA's etc.?

    2) Is the Pinion Yoke Centered to the both Axle Flanges or is it offset in any way left or right? If it is offset, how much to either side (Yoke Center to Wheel Flange Face on both sides if you have the measurements)?

    Thanks,

    Joe

I hope to get some measurement specs too since I have a dana 60 with a posi and 4.10s for my car but would like to go a little more narrow for tire clearance and a deaper looking rim.
I also need to find out if there is a way to go 4 channel abs with my 93 or a way to do it with just 3, and also if there is a bolt on setup for the torque arm ect.
I will admit that I have yet to start looking in to this subject much because my project is on hold till I get a job.

You may be able to get away with 3 channel. I would have to pull up a diagram. But you might be able to clone the signal

My car is a 3 channel now but I think it would be easier for me to go 4 channel if I can on the dana 60 without too much of a headache.

I dont think it is a versallies 9 inch from what I have come across they are from 77-80/81. And this one is from a pre 77 lincoln. But I think the versallies is a smaller tube isnt it? or maybe tapers...... But I'll find more info from my buddy tomorrow for yeah

It goes up on the rack tomorrow to see what the damage is done to mine. I got a set of 3.23 gears for 50 bucks off of LS1tech. So .........just to finish out this year out i'm gonna see if I can get by with the 10 bolt ......and do the 9 inch this winter.

Oh and something I found out about the dana 60s is that if you want something higher than 3.54's.... 3.54 is the limit. But you can go more than 4.56's if your manual tranny.
