An Opti can survive
145k miles.
Pretty sure it is the original opti
While changing my front bumper I was splashed with some sweet smelling stuff.
Look up, looks like the opti has been taking a beating for awhile. I knew they said it had a coolant leak when I bought it but it was late and I had to take my mom out for dinner. Anyways 60 dollars latter for a reman pump and the opti getting soaked 20 more ways than a bukkake video, the car fired on the first crank.

You are 100% correct sir. A properly maintained opti can survive. I think that its a good design and concept but given its location it is very dependant on the venting system working properly.

A properly installed opti can handle water just fine. They get a bad rap. But are a awesome ignition system!
