    Default What would cause this??

This is from a buddy of mines 1995 camaro. The end of the dip stick tube is chewed up & the rest of the stick itself is in the pan. Now we have to drop the pan & get the rest of it. I tried getting a couple of good pics for everyone. Any help is appreciated. IMAG1991.jpgIMAG1993.jpg

It is a stock stick. The engine has had some mods done to it, but he isn't sure what. Definitely camed with headers. Not sure about the bottom end thought

I mean maybe if it was bent stupid, you MAY have made some contact with moving parts... but Im thinking it really should not have. Give the guys a chance, maybe our more "seasoned" members will have some insight....

Same thing happened to me. I was able to bend a magnet to go around the oil pickup and fish it out through the drain plug hole. Took some patience but was way easier than dropping the pan.

Ok, if it's got internal mods like aftermarket H-Beam rods or something, that could be the issue. When we did the 355 on my old black car, we had to trim the dipstick tube cause of the fat Eagle H-Beams I was using.

I'm along with Fastbird and or a stroker crank and it wasn't modded for it. That had to make someone make bricks
