So how much better is the 24x over the LTCC. I know its been a while since I posted in here but I am looking to do the upgrade. I am thinking the LTCC would be better for what I need. How much better is the tuning for the LS1 over the LT1 computers? Is there that much of a significance in potential power gain?

I understand that with the LTCC the opti pretty much becomes an expensive cam sensor, but other then that the only real major thing is the tuning. So if I was able to find someone who can tune LT1 OBD2 it wouldnt be worth spending the extra $$$ on the LS1 pcm correct?

no need to be confused go with the 24x system....ltcc still keeps the opti..and ls1 pcm's can be tune almost anywhere now
Yes it's a 2002 Camaro but it does have a LT1 in it

So again, the biggest advantage is tuning capabilities correct? I dont do my own tuning I would take it to a shop. But I found a place that does LT1 tuning not too far from here. So I am thinking the LTCC might be a better option form me.

yes, one of the main advantages is the tuning capabilities, since the tuners out there that tune LTs are slowly dwindling this opens up a hole new world for tuning, also if im not mistaken the LS computer can get better more exact tunes. though from what i have seen more people with FI engines see more benefits from it then NA engines. and with the 24x the opti is COMPLEATLY removed. but it dose have a hefty price tag on it. i picked up a lot of parts 2ed hand and i think i still payed around $1800 with a new harness. i wish i could help more with comparenson to the LTCC but i have never seen one run with that set up. i have heard that people have had signal problems with the opti with the LTCC. on the "other" site there are a few threads talking about the 24x that go a lot more in to detail. i know there are a few people over here that have it done already hopefully they can chime in.

That and especially for nitrous the 0411 pcm is light years faster than the ltx pcm. For example- spray a dry before the mass air on an LT1 pcm and BOOM. Its not fast enough to compensate. However, on a 0411 pcm you can and the pcm will correct the fueling in time. There are many advantages to the swap.
1. No opti
2. Faster PCM
3. Better Tuning Capabilites
4. custom operating systems
5. I had a perfect running LT1 and after the 24x I noticed better fuel economy and driveability. H/C/I cc306.
If you decide to make the swap, let me know. I just became a site sponsor and I can build you a new harness, rework your old one, or supply you with whatever you need to diy the swap. The LTCC is great, and unless you are going to be changing set ups, going FI, Nitrous, or something extreme the LTCC will probably suite you fine. Just hard to find a OBDII LTX tuner anymore.
