Default Pondering the idea of going back to go forward.

Well since my gears went out of my car this summer. That is one more project for me to do now. Was gonna do twin turbo's 58's actually they have 67mm turbine in them I believe. A friend of mine has then new in the box yet, but he is keeping them for me till this winter to where I can come up with 2k cash. Good deal by any means they sell for about 1600 each. But anyways, thinking of pullin my motor and going back to 10.5 cr je pistons, keeping use of my 5.85 rods and the 3.75 dragon slayer crank, and the 224/230 cc, and doing a light port match for my stock heads and putting them back on. And since I can not get what I want out out of my 600b this year or no one has the money for it. Figured I'd use it another year and then sell it for 1k-1250 or so next year. Figure I should be able to get 600-650hp out of it, but I'll have to get 8.5 crank pulley and it will be spinning it at the 62k max.

Or should I just go get a junk yard lt1 slap it in with some forged pistons and call it a day. I can get one for 600 that runs with 100k or one that is locked up for 100 or 200 since I am putting new pistons in anyways. I have my old stock crank, rods, and heads yet that are still good. Or anyother idea's or suggestions. I'm not worried about the machine work cause I can do that myself at my uncles machine shop. Stock motor I'd probably do redline of 6k to to keep things together and get me through a year to save up.

That will give me time to save up for the hot and cold side of the turbo system and for water to air intercooler, turbo log headers, and k member which adds up to the amount of $4500. And also be able to do the ford 8.8 conversion and using my 10 bolt axle tubes.

Well Im gonna have about 1k into the rearend. Not going back to the 10bolt. THey have whineed since I bought the car new and sick of it.

Thinking of just making use of the procharger for one more year or two. But thinking about the ways to go about it. Not happy with low cr and the
psi of the supercharger right now. So to remedy that go back to stock compression and stock heads. So either use the stroker short block with 10.5cr pistons.
Or go get junk yard motor freshin it up and use that for a year or so.

If I did the junk yard motor my cousin could use it next year in his 80's monte that we are converting over to LT1.
