There is an AMAZING tuner headed up into the Chicago area either this weekend or the next. I saw it on yellowbullet. I will check it out and try to send the link. He might be booked solid though.

I used madtuner and so far all seems to be good. If I remember correctly woosh told me about another tuner in this area. Gotta ask him about it.
And if I remember correctly. Madtuner has a dyno now as well.

Yeah I tried SpeedINC and madtuner this year.
SpeedInc only does LSx right now, and madtuner sent me this June 29th of this year:
I asked him why he didn't support it anymore and about my false knock issues at the time, and he responded:Ryan,
Sorry but I have recently decided to discontinue dyno tuning on LT1 cars.
You can do a simple dyno run on the current tune and see where the air/fuel ratio stands and then do another e-mail tune (whether through your current tuner or through me) to correct it, if necessary.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
So I think it's safe to say we look screwed...at least in Chicago lol.The reason for not supporting them anymore is because the number of cars with issues found on the dyno has grown exponentially in the last year to the point where we weren't able to dyno tune a good running car in a while. It is a waste of time and money for both our customers as well as ourselves.
False knock is very common with LT1 cars, so it is quite likely that it is what you are getting. The LT4 knock module's usefulness is greatly exagerated by the LT1 crowd. Most of the time, it will do little to nothing to eliminate the false knock. The only reliable way of getting rid of it is by disabling it in the PCM after determining that your air/fuel ratio and timing is safe.Last edited by Ryan Wehrle; 08-11-2012 at 05:37 PM.
