I went with the extreme duty LT1/4 chain set. It was the best thing I could find at the time when I did my build, but that was 7 years ago now.
97 Comp T/A #161 out of 164 LT1 383 stroker, TPIS/AFR heads, JE pistons, 9.3cr, extreme energy comp cams 224/230, Howards billet rods 5.85, Callies dragon slayer crank, 2 bolt mains converted to 4 bolt billet, Mildon oil pump, MSD opti, 6AL, boost retard, HVC 2 blaster coil, BBk 58mm, 50lb injectors, 3200 stall. Took 600b off to help fund twin turbo.

Doesn't matter -- bigtoy's car is a 1997. The LT1/LT4 extreme duty timing set only works on 1995-1997 optisparks (won't work on your 1994).
Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any double-roller timing sets you can use without upgrading the optispark/timing cover/cam, etc. Due to the 1993-1994 spline drive mechanism, you must retain the factory camshaft timing gear to drive the optispark. Lunati used to make a single-roller kit for the 1993-1994 spline-driven optisparks, but last I heard, it was a piece of crap / less reliable than the stock unit. There was a company years ago that made a true beefed-up timing set for the type-1 optispark, but it was like $500, and they went out of business years ago. Can't remember the name of the company for the life of me. I've been away from the game for too long -- perhaps there are other options now of which I'm not aware.
In my opinion, your best bet is to buy a new stock timing set, perhaps with an oversized crank gear to take up the slack. Otherwise, save up for the conversion to a 1995+ optispark arrangement, then you'll have many upgrade options. FYI -- a double-roller (and most aftermarket timing sets) require the use of an electric waterpump, as the factory cam timing gear also has teeth on the back to drive the factory waterpump. Those drive teeth will obviously be absent from any non-LT1-specific timing set.

yeah my bad you have to do a few conversion upgrades for 93-94 to make it work.

I am doing an electric pump for my build so I knocked out that gear already. Just finding a double roller is a pain for the gen I I suppose...I do like the spline drive better Idk maybe I'm crazy but i have this brand new spline drive opti from msd and don't really wanna waste the time buying a new one now.
