If I remember correctly, the injectors are swapped both at the harness and on the injector assignment. As far as I recall, it's as simple as that.
Have a little trust people....this DOES work, and it works well.'97 Z28...Sleeper

24X is a better setup due to the coil on plug and deletion of the opti. Tuning parameters? I have been running a boosted LT on a stock PCM 12 lbs+ for over 10 years when people said it couldn't be done. People get caught up on the internet gossip and everyone runs with it. Yes LT tuners are getting obsolete, is the coil per cylinder better, of course. But can it be done on a stock LT PCM? Definitely. Mine, running 2 bar made 648 RWHP on the pump and 722 RWHP on the fast gas. Driveability? Perfect. Mileage? in the 20+. IF you can afford the 24x by all means go for it, but just don't think boost cannot be accomplished on a stock LT pcm...

I agree. Although you may have hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that finding good LTX tuners are hard to come by. Making the swap means a plethera of more options for tuning available since the ease of tuning increases with the LS based PCM.
I think the biggest advantage of the 24X would be the ability to run consistant high RPM's that the opti is just not meant to do.1995 Z28 - disfunctional now, perhaps insane after its "treatment"
