It seems you have two choices in front of you. You could pressure wash it and risk doing damage to the PCM, the opti, ect., or you could take your time and clean it by hand.
FWIW, cleaning it by hand, even though much more tedias, will yeild much better results than powerwashing, and it will do a better job.
I powerwashed mine once. But that was just because the engine was out, and so was the PCM and all the other things that are not water friendly. I would never do it without the same conditions.1995 Z28 - disfunctional now, perhaps insane after its "treatment"

Between being covered up with work and then going on a week long fishing trip
, I havent messed with it. Hopefully I can dedicate this whole weekend to the car. Ive been neglecting it lately. Would really like to install my RRs and clean up the engine bay.

I bet I've washed my engine bay 30-40 times in the past 15 years i've had the car. Only had to replace 2 opti's, both due to water intrusion. I don't have any more issues since I've learned to leave the engine running while doing it.

I tend to stay away from power washing. I used a steam cleaner and a bunch of rags. that seemed to work preety good. After, i touch it up with some maguares super shine on all my hoses and engine.. it looks amazing.. nice and clean..
