^ Sweet car, but not worth the money. Our family had an alcohol dragster with a BBC, and my godfather was into alcohol-injected Big-ass HEMI's like this one...with nitrous added. Both added together wasn't even close to $119,000.
You could build that car for $50k or less.

    Really 50G.???

That sounds cheap... we have our own promod 63 vette, with a twin turbo small block....

Chasis, carbon fiber body, all the bells and whistles, and that think has over 150k in it.

I found one that I'm VERY tempted to liquidate some stuff for: http://york.craigslist.org/cto/2907635569.html

I know it's a four door, but the car looks better as a four door than a two door to me. A nice suspension, a HUGE cubed LSx, and that would be an AWESOME cruiser/HRPT/family hauler and could still be fast.

The key words to your build and its price are Twin Turbo and Carbon Fiber Body. I believe our dragster's body was sheet metal, and we ran an injected, blown big block. A TT small block is a much pricier motor.

If you wanted to build a drag car with all state-of-the-art technology, with all NEW parts, and the best of everything, you could easily sink $150K. But, I guess what I was trying to say was...being frugal with money, buying used parts, and accepting a slightly older technology; you could build a car just as fast and just as sexy for $50k.

Those are awesome. A guy I used to work with has a '68. Original paint and original interior. It's 1 of 512. Low miles...like 30,000. The car looks like the paint is still wet, and the build was done right. All they did was pull the original drivetrain, and replace with a built 427, beefed up trans, and I think they kept the original 12 bolt.
Having one of those cars restored would be killer.

THe thing that concerns me is that in those little pics, I can see a lot of rust. MUST.....HOLD......OUT. Ain't gonna do it though. Have another car (family hauler) to pay off first.
