well, we raced again, just playing around, this time from a light. we started off pretty even, but then he started pulling, just before we came up to a draw-bridge, so we had to let off. I am thinking that my car is just not running right. it's probably time to get it up on a dyno and find out what's goin on.

I just raced a Mach 1 last weekend that had the same mods and I walked away from him slowly with me having the mods that are in my sig. Something is wrong. You should put a walking away from him. If your car feels good to you (no power lose) then that boy is spraying his car. I don't think his gf would tell you if lost now she probably would if you won....LOL She would be in your car after the race.....LOL

actually, my car never has really felt like it should to me. I just got it together in July, and it always felt a little sluggish. It is a little hard for me to gauge exactly how it should feel, as this is my first LT1 and I never got to see what it felt like stock.

You should be walking all over that Mach. My friend has got one that is a bolt-on car and I pull on him when I'm not spraying. It's a fairly close race, but I still pull him reguardless of the situation. That's just bolt-ons. When I spray him, it starts to get ugly. Your H/C car shouldn't have any problems with a bolt-on Mach.
Why don't you just see if he will pop the hood and you can check that out?
You ever ran your car at the track?

from the beginning of this thread all that really sticks out is the fact of "LACK OF TRACTION"for OP, Mach 1's are VERY lightweight.......
i will agree you may need to work on your car a bit(suspension, tires etc.),possibly retune!

No, I haven't had a chance to get to the track yet. I work too much so i never have any free time. and yes, I am going to be the first to admit it... I can't hook worth a shit, that could be my main problem, aside from the tune not being just right. The tune I have is one that I got from someone else on monodax, He said that his setup was identical to mine, so I loaded it on my car. I have made a few minor changes, but I haven't been able to work with the program much as I really don't know what I am doing in there and I don't want to mess it up.
