    Default my truck is stuck in 3rd gear

    I have a 97 z71 with the 4l60 and the truck is stuck in 3rd gear I've replaced both shift soleniods and its still doing it. Any help out there ?

    sounds like "Limp" mode, have you scanned for codes?

    It's throws the codes for both shifting solenoids but I've replaced them both

    I agree. Sounds like limp mode. Check all your fuses. When there is no power to the tranny it will stay in 3rd gear. Also check the connector to the transmission for corrosion. I have heard that its a common problem with the connectors becoming corroded. As well as damaged terminal connections from vibration and stress. Good Luck.
