    Hmmm, my guess would be a v6 shell with all the stuff swapped on. Insurance company have it listed as a 6?

    I wouldn't look to much into it. My old 93 transam was a factory lt1 car and the win pulls up Firebird because that is what the base model is, then they hang everything else off of that. My insurance and title both stated Firebird.

    Also take carfax's with a grain of salt and don't base a purchase or information off of it . It should not be a substitute for getting under the car and looking at frame rails and repair spots

    The 8th digit in the Vin will tell you if it was a v6 or v8. FOR 1995,

    K = 3.8L V6
    S = 3.4L V6
    P = 5.7L V8

    Postin' on the go......

    i know this is an old thread but swaping the speado in a conversion is a must. the v6 speedo receives a different signal. it would be really hard to tell if it was a conversion car. I did the conversion on my camaro and besides drive line and kmember and gauge cluster most of it is the same and you have to replace all that. I don't think that if you looked at my car besides the vin number you would never know.
