I hear ya, mine has demon issues with closed loop. I have literally replaced everything and have not been able to eliminate my issues. I wish the EFI connection kit wasn't so expensive, I want to get rid of the 93' system completely but the cost just doesn't seem justified on a bolt-on only car.

mine wont go into closed loop either, but i figured it was the lazy o2 causing that. deff a bolt on everyday driver here. so no efi connection here either.

I've had to force mine to remain in open loop. When it shifts to closed it will barely run, horrible stumbling, missing, surging, etc.

Be sure to check all grounds. Also if you have a lower t-stat the car will bounce open/closed loop if not accounted for.

On mine at least, all of this has been accounted for. I have gone so far as to build a new wiring harness to no avail (I figured there might have been a short somewhere.)
