Ron Paul FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only negative is that the government doesn't want him to get elected, lol. If he gets the republican nomination I really think he will be president. That will be very scary for government employees since he wants to downsize it and do away with certain branches (IRS). Granted he can't just snap his fingers and make these changes happen, it has to come slowly.
It just sickens me that more and more people don't realize how amazing this guy is. He is the only candidate up there who speaks 100% with common sense and doesn't dance around any question. He holds true to his word. It SHOULD be a landslide victory and it's not. That baffles me.'94 coupe, 10.15 at 133.65 414" LT1, 4500 stall, n/a, pump gas, mufflers, street trim

I don't voice my opinion about politics much but I don't like how our society has become an "us, the people" vs. "them, the government". Our country ws designed to be run by a government made up OF the people BY the people and FOR the poeple. Some how we have allowed it to be OK for officials to become career politicians. It used to be (100 years ago!) someone had a job in the normal working society, they did their term in government, and then went back to their trade. While they were in office they made changes that were for the good of the people because that’s what they knew they had to go back to. Now in certain branches, you get elected and serve 1 term and you've got benefits and a retirement for life, ridiculous! There are so many political agenda's because politicians are making their living in politics. With this system I don't see how you can avoid back room, shady, under the table deals and an "us" and "them" government. It seems like by the time someone is even considered for a presidential election they've spent so much time in politics they have become as Popo said a "puppet" controlled by the groups with their own agendas who got them there. I just hope whoever gets nominated and whoever wins the 2012 election has a decent head and is maybe somewhat capable of remembering what is was like to work for a living and pay monthly bills, oh and taxes!! I am for Ron Paul 100% of the way, but anyone other than obama would be nice as well, just looking at that guy makes me angry.

I tend to agree, if you want to look at who controls what in this country just follow the money trails. Money is power and special interest groups have it at their disposal. You have career politicians who have very expensive races to stay in office, if they want to keep getting reelected, they have to tow the party line which means pander to where the money is coming in from. It isn't just bipartisan, if you want to see how deep this stuff runs, there have been primary races where long standing incumbents have had money from their own party poured in against them when the party wanted some one who they felt could serve their purpose better, a lot of time it's really to send a message.
