I went through a time when no mater what I was pulled over. I couldn't go a month without it. One of the last times I was picked on I was behind my buddy in the slow lane on the highway doing maybe 1 mph over the limit if that. There were 5 cars passing us in the fast lane and the cop was sitting in the median. No way he could have seen me or got my speed even if I was speeding because I couldn't see him with me being behind a truck and cars all around me. As soon as we passed he pulled a U and took off after us. I called my buddy as soon as he started to move and said he was going to go after me and sure as shit he lit me up and gave me a ticket for 10 over.

^^ did you fight it? i'm curious as to how many of you guys actually fought the tickets. i've gotten maybe one or 2 speeding tickets in the 6 years i've owned the car...sure i speed, but i'm not an idiot about it. when i used to live in creston i was the only black z there, and had gotten called in for layin rubber, and sure enough i had a bullseye on me. you get that in small towns though. here isn't so bad, i got bugged once about my front plate but thats it. even so, i'd fight the ticket if it was given out of spite

We were on our way to my best friends wedding and I was the best man. If it had been anything else i would have fought it on the side of the road but I didn't have time to screw with it at that point and risk it taking too long or something worse. I did take it to a lawyer just like the ones I did before were I was actually speeding or doing something I shouldn't have been.
My buddy that was driving the truck still gives me crap about that to this day and it was over 7 years ago.Last edited by ksmyss; 01-04-2012 at 12:24 PM.

cops have always been cool with me, Its usually about a missing front plate. They usually ask me a ton of questions about the car, and want to look at it.
That, and they usually know i am a good guy when i tell them about my CCW upfront.1996 Camaro Z/28

I never let them know about my CCW or CHL unless they ask. Too many times this causes problems ranging from the cop freaking out or not knowing how to deal with this to asking me to surrender my weapon (in my state they cannot ask me to surrender it unless the CCW is the reason they are questioning me).
