    Default 94 lt1 355 in a 96 t56 ss car. engine harness the same??

Do I need to swap harnesses? Are there any sensors that a obdII car would have that the 94 wouldn't? Can I just swap the pcm?

Are you using the 94 or 96 harness and PCM?

Not sure about the engine end of the harness but going from an auto to a t56 you need the vss, reverse lockout, and one other connector. I think its for the reverse lights.... you can leave the cags off as long as you tune it out.

Ok say i only swap the engine and just get the 96 pcm tuned... I would use the 96 t56 pcm and harness with 94 engine (opti and sensors obd1) are there any pros and cons i should watch for and are the pin conectors the same

you would need to get a new opti harness. maybe have to swap a few of the sensors.just thought of something else the 96 uses a crank sensor in the timing cover but you could most likely have that tuned out

I use a 97ss camaro engine wiring harness in my 94z28 obd1 car.... it works fine. there are a few other sensors on the 97 such as CPP, rear o2's. The opti uses a different harness 95 was the first year of the vented opti and thus new harness.
