Trufiber Hood ?
For my first anniversary my wife got me a trufiber ram air hood for the T/A (thats right, she's trained lol). It should be in today by ups. Does anyone have one on their car? Any fitment problems? Also will it bolt on and go? I thought I read one time about the factory hood struts being too strong or something. Now I'll be on the hunt for a ram air box.

I used to have a trufiber on my 96, guy at the body shop said it took a good bit of adjusting for it to be right. I still had stock hood struts and was fine but I wouldn't suggest just picking up the hood and flinging it up. lol The stock hood is alot heavier so its a given that it will go up faster once you take off that weight.

Hey thanks for the reply. I'm hoping there isn't a lot of fitment problems; keeping fingers crossed. As far as I know the struts are factory and hopefully wore in enough it wont spring open like a mouse trap.

Isn't there an aftermarket company that makes the ram air intake? oem's look the best, but man they are high.

Have you thought about a lid setup? from what I've seen they are almost a bolt in with the ram air hoods.

I'm not sure, I just got mine from ebay. Something i had a hard time finding was the bellow that attaches the MAF to the TB. It was such a PITA to find. The lid would also be an option but I've always liked the look of the ram air box more for some reason. If i happen to come along one in the not so distant future I'll send a link your way.

Just saw the link, and that's the starting bid too. I'll watch it for a day or two, not sure if that's a great deal or not (been a while since I've looked at em).
