sorry its so long but i copied and pasted from gm service information we use at the dealership. the bulletin also states if there is a repeat failure to replace the trans case but if you havent replaced the input housing yet that is probably the root cause of failure. ive rebuilt over a hundred 4l60/4l65 transmissions and have yet to need to replace the trans case or have a repeat failure after changing the input housing.

skip to 3:50 to see the actual effect of a 3-4 clutch failure.
if you want to hear me rant for a bit about why i am more pissed than a normal failure. just let it play from the start94 Formula "budget build" #thebeaterbird

i can guarantee you your 3/4 clutches are almost all gone . i dont know who you had rebuild this trans or what modifications have been done but it needs an input housing . if you think the t56 is indestructible do a search for used t56 trans and you will find many that are missing gears usually 2nd. they break too IMO they are more fun to drive but have problems as well. if you want pm me your email and i will send you that gm document so you can print it out and give it to the trans shop rebuilding your trans and maybe that would help. ive seen 4l60's last 150,000 miles and more behind that much power. they have there weaknesses but those can be upgraded. if you have any questions i would be glad to help just let me know

update: today driving back from my girlfriends house... it did some thing funny so i repeated it a few times and got some thing figured out ... i think.
if i put it down into 1st then get over 3000 rpm then bump to 2nd and do the same, take it over 3000 rpms, then bump in to 3rd it will go in to 3rd and 4th and drive like normal untill i get under 35 mph ..... could it be that my valve body is going bad or a forward sprag?94 Formula "budget build" #thebeaterbird

as far as the valve body the same shift valves shift the gears regardless of what gear range you are in. the only difference is in manual 1st,2nd,and D third uses the overrun clutches . with the forward sprag it holds every gear but 4th and when that fails it wont allow any movement in OD and D range but will move in 1,2, and R. OD and D will just act like nuetral. i still think your 3/4 clutches are slipping just not gone yet. did you try a hard accell in 3rd and 4th to see if they are still slipping like in your video?
