    I got lucky and found out my lil cousin is a dam good welder so im for sure going this route...only hick-up i read is guys over 500hp are "burning clutches...clutches wont last" haven't seen what they do to fix this.

    Switch to 03/04 Cobra carbon fiber clutches. The kit is a little over $100 from summit. Mine took a beating for over 4 years with 600 -677 rwhp (pump / race gas) , many, many low ten passes and a handful of high 9 passes.

    you might want to do a search i dont see them much here but in ls1tech with teh lt1 section there is couple of guys who have pics from start to finish.
