    Default EFI connection 24x conversion

I would like to get all the information I can on this. Bottom dollar cost. I have access to the LSX coils from a 5.3 or a 6.0 truck. I can pick up a LS1 PCM, if thats the case then all I need is a bare bones kit for $525 dollars. Then modify my wiring harness, but my question is how do I modify it and is there instructions to do this. I have an extra wiring harness from a 95 LT1, but mine is a 96 LT1 is there a major difference in the two harnesses. I am trying to find the cheapest way I can do this, because if I can do this for around $700-800 dollars then I believe this is the way I am going to go, instead on converting to an complete LS1......I have another short block with a spun rod bearing......I can get it machined and buy a stroker kit etc. cheaper than buying a LS1 and doing all the conversion stuff and then having to build that motor. I have a pretty good H/C/I take package that made 381 RWHP. If I do this then I am thinking for around $4000 grand I could have a good 383 short block built. What would you guys think.....stay LT1 and go this route or convert to a LS1 dollars wise which do you think is the easiest conversion and the cheapest.

Sorry if I have asked stupid questions, some friends of mine are trying to get me to convert to LS1, but I just want to go the cheapest route to get the numbers I am hoping for.

The cheapest route will be the LSpcm swap. If you go put an LSx motor in your car, you'll need the LS k member (or new mounts made since they are different between the two motors), a new transmission, since the bellhousing bolt patterns and input shafts are different.

We don't know what you are hoping for, but in the end, it's all really up to you.

What I am hoping for is the best performance for the best money, Like I said I already have a good head, intake and cam package. Therefore I think this efi 24x conversion is the best route for me to go. I agree just changing to a LS1 it will needed modded, k- member etc.....basically I think going the efi 24x route I can build a short block to get the performance I would get from a built LS1 for less money. Am I thinking wrong or am I right.

Im using the 24x setup on my PT88 355 build. the rewiring took some time since I made my own harness from the LT1 and and LS1 harnesses. I had and LS1 PCm sitting around so all I needed to buy was the actual reluctor kit and a set of coils. I think I have $600 in mine? havent really had any time to get it on the street. it has a start up tune in it but it seems to be working great.
    Currently in a Million pieces....

I rework the stock harness for the 24x conversion starting at $318.20 including return shipping. If any repairs are needed its as little as $5.50 per new connector

Do you do this for 93 harnesses as well?

And do you say take off things that aren't being used. (for example I'm not using air/egr/abs/evap)

So If I send you a stock harness and you rework it.
All I would need is an ls1 pcm and coils?
That way I get rid of the opti and be open to all the other tuning shit?

If thats the case, that is awesome. Pricey but awesome.

Steve did my conversion wiring and a few other goodies. All TOP NOTCH!

Use truck coils they are way easier to mount and an 01-02 PCM.

Im using EFI Live and a Custom OS that I can tell you more about if interested.
