I know this is not car related, but I am trying to spead the word. If you smoke or chew tobacco in DE (other than cigarettes) there is a house bill being heard Wednesday to increase the tax from 15% TO 68%. There is a facebook page about it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Delaw...09878242383569

What is up these states? Maryland just recently passed a law banning the import of cigars into the state. I can no longer mail order cigars to my house, i have to use an out of state address. Good luck, Delaware cigar smokers

It got tabled till next year. I got emails back from 2 state reps i emailed and both are against it. It probally won't pass becasue a lot of ppl come to DE to get tobacco casue our prices are low and no sales tax too. THe biggest issue we all had was the bullshit line in the bill about making the price less attractive to minors. There are alreay laws about sales of tobacco to minors. The real story was the big $$ they could raise for the "Heath Fund."

That sucks about MD. The store I shop at is very close to MD and a lot of MD ppl smuggle them home... LOL DE residents used to do the same on Sundays at the liquor stores in MD. DE repealed that law when they discovered all the money the state was missing out on..

If you are close to DE, there is a big Cigar Fest on sept 17th at DE Park. I am going with 2 family members. I think there are tickets left.

I've never heard of a cigar fest, might have to check it out. Especially since it's at Delaware Park! Oh yeah.
