You'll find me driving a foreign truck, before you'd ever catch me driving a Ford. But, if you like it, thats all that matters.

You're missing the point that it is a Ford. It doesn't matter if it drives like a Benz, it's the sheer principle.
EDIT: You should know I am just giving you a hard time about buying a Ford product on a diehard GM website.Last edited by CALL911; 05-17-2011 at 08:18 AM.

Nice looking truck man. A friend of mine has a company truck, same model. It's got over 400k miles on the original motor.

If you don't have to change the plugs then don't do it. There are 4 threads holding them in and they are very easy to screw up. My buddies mustang had 2 plugs shoot out, one we were able to fix and the other had to have the head replaced. A good friend of mine is a lead tech at a Ford dealership and they have a special tool, from Ford, to heli coil the heads while they are on the motor because this is such a big problem. The trucks and vans are the worse due to the loads put on the motors. They do repairs daily on these.

my wifes procharged 03 vert was bought new by me for her birthday. 8 years later and a shit load of plug changes i have never had a problem. shit my wife has changed her plugs numerous times. there spark plugs not head bolts, don't over tighten them and you won't have a problem
what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that allow me to do with things that would be a nightmare for people like you.
