  1. #1

    Default VATS Question

I am thinkin of doin a v6 to v8 swap and was wonderin about the VATS situation. The v6 is a 97 and the motor and computer i am going to use is out of a 96. I want to use the original key for the v6 car, so my question is will i have to get the V tuned out. Any other useful info about the swap would be greatly appreciated.

Vats is a part of your BCM, to my knowledge you do not need to swap those out so you should be fine.

worst comes to worst you can buy a blank of that key with the proper resistance chip in it and get it ground to they key that you need or delete vats with at resistor, done
