Kooks = no oil cooler? Info needed...
So I just learned that by putting a set of Kooks headers in my car, I will not have room to run the factory oil cooler anymore. Is this a big deal? Anyone have anymore info?

It's no big deal not to run a cooler. It was an option that was deleted in 1996.

Okay, but keep in mind I am a boosted car, and even though I have done things like a 160 thermostat and TB bypass to help things run cooler in general, my engine temps on a hot day can sometimes get almost to 200. And that is WITH an oil cooler.
I am assuming without one I can see engine (and oil as a result) temps increase. But how much, and will I still be alright since I am boosted?1995 Z28 - disfunctional now, perhaps insane after its "treatment"

Where are your turbos? You should be fine depending on where they are mounted..

It was available as a SLP option in 1996-1997. My 1997 SS has the oil cooler.
But yes, the stepped header design doesn't really allow for the room of an oil cooler. If you want to run one still, you could purchase a relocation kit and move the oil cooler to a better location in the engine bay.

^ I know, but if I don't need one, I don't want the hassle.
