drivers side kick panel removal????

i have a 94 Trans am thats an automatic and tryin to remove the driver side kick panel to run speaker wires to the driver side door. i cant seem to get it loose and it feels like its getting caught or not coming loose from the foot rest area/portion of the kick panel. anyone got any tips for removing it? i got the passengers side off with no problem. just cant get the drivers off

The driver side has five screws if I remember correctly, I think its 4 along the seat and 1 near the foot rest.
